Spanish Garlic Shrimp

For this beautiful, sexy and legendary Spanish tapa dish known in Spain as "Gambas al ajillo", made in under 15 minutes, you'll need:

1 lb Large Shrimp(prawns): (Washed, peeled and deviened).
5 cloves of slivered garlic cloves.
1 cup high quality(preferably Spanish) extra virgin olive oil.
1 teaspoon of spicy fresh red chili(can also use dried chili flakes).
1 cup of fresh Italian parsley.
1 large lemon.
1 tablespoon butter.
Salt and pepper.
A loaf of good crusty country bread or a baguette.

**Optional: A beautiful fruity and buttery white wine, such as Chardonnay to drink with this AMAZING dish! ;-)

Viva Espana!!

.... From my family to yours, cheers!

  2. Awesome!! It's by far my favorite way to cook shrimp.... the best part is the crusty bread to mop up the awesome juices!! Let me know how it turns out. Enjoy

  3. Update: Made this last night as a celebration dinner. Turned out great. Only issue I had is that I tried to cook too many shrimps at once - which took extra time to flip them, etc. Still, came out tasting great. Family is requesting we do this again

    1. Great to hear that! Thanks for the feedback. Try to not over crowd the pan when you cook any protein like shrimp, chicken, steak etc. Because over crowding will tend to "steam" rather than sear the meats. Next time do it in two separate pans if you're feeding a family. Glad to hear it turned out well and you all want to cook it again!

      Cheers
